Wesley Mathews brings over two decades of experience in business development, diplomacy, and finance to his role as President and CEO of Choose New Jersey, New Jersey’s leading nonprofit economic development organization. Prior to Choose New Jersey, Mathews served as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer for over 13 years, with assignments in Germany, India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, and Washington, D.C. In 2018 and 2019, he served as a loaned executive from the federal government to the New Jersey state government, establishing the state’s Office of International Trade and Investment at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority where he served as its inaugural director.
